PURPOSE:To perform easily satisfactory electron beam welding by preheating materials to be welded by the electrical heating device provided in a welding chamber then subjecting said materials to electron beam welding. CONSTITUTION:While a containing case 5 is gradually risen by cylinders 6a, 6b, the works on a conveyor 17 are inserted successively into the case 5. A fluidizing chamber floor 3 is then lifted by cylinders 4a-4d to constitute a vacuum vessel of said floor and a welding chamber 1. The inside of the vacuum chamber is evacuated. The works in the case 5 are moved to electrical heating electrodes 8a, 8b, by which the works are uniformly heated. An electron beam is emitted from an electron gun 11 attached to a gun moving plate 12 to weld the works. The works are removed from the electrodes 8a, 8b upon ending of welding and are placed in a position 108. The floor 3 is lowered to the original position and is returned by cylinders 16a, 16b onto the conveyor 17. The time required for working is thus considerably reduced. |
