PURPOSE:To obtain a video reproducing signal adjusted by an AGC circuit in case of back light by converting the output signal of an image pickup element so that a signal at the part corresponding to the vertical upper part is attenuated. CONSTITUTION:The light from an object field is made incident to an image pickup element 3 through a lens 1 and an iris 2, and a video signal is regulated by the AGC circuit 5 via an amplifier 4 and outputted to a process circuit. Then the video signal by the AGC circuit 5 is regulated based on a signal as a result of the video signal converted by an upper part attenuation converting circuit 6 where a signal corresponding to the vertical upper part is attenuated and smoothed by a smoothing circuit 7. In case of rear light where a bright sky is entered in the object field, it is prevented that the AGC circuit 5 regulates excessively the video signal to a low level with the effect of a strong signal at the vertical upper part corresponding to the bright light of the video signal and regulates too dark for the part other than the right sky. |
