A board or panel comprises a mineral fibrous mat of adhesively united strips set on edge, and a cover board, e.g. of plywood, fibreboard, asbestos cement board, plaster board or bituminous material, which is of smaller area than the mat. The borders of the mat may be covered with plastic material such as P.V.C., paper or cardboard or bitumen. Bitumen may be used as adhesive between the mat, and the cover board and border materials. An assembly of panels, which may be covered with roofing felt, may form the basis for heat. and soundinsulating concrete or wooden floors. |
