PURPOSE:To perform high-reliability remote operation even in a severe environment by composing a remote operation type output varying device of a reversible counter device which inhibits a count signal inputted by the remote operation when its counted value is an upper-limit or lower-limit value. CONSTITUTION:When an upper-limit value detector 11 or lower-limit value detector 12 detects the counted value of the reversible counter 10 attaining to the upper-limit or lower-limit value, a gate circuit 16 or 18 is closed to inhibit an up-count or down-count signal from being inputted to the reversible counter 10 even when the signal is inputted by the remote operation. Those inhibition gates 16 and 18 protects the counted value of the counter 10 against disturbance, so the counter 10 sends no abnormal signal to a voltage converter through a D-A converter 13, thereby improving the reliability of the output of the device. This device is used effectively for variable control over the high voltage power source of a photoelectron multiplier tube or variable control over an amplifier gain. |
