A single- or multi-channel stimulating-current device is proposed which serves the purpose of stimulating-current treatment using stimulating currents in which the stimulating-current duration (tE) has not previously sufficed to set the stimulating current precisely in a channel. A single-channel stimulating-current device according to the invention is configured such that the stimulating-current cycles do not commence until the setting time (tE) is finished. In a multi-channel stimulating-current device (10), the stimulating-current cycles, which consist of the stimulating-current duration and pause duration (tP), start synchronously when the first channel (13) is released for setting, the setting time (tE1) and a prescribed stimulating-current duration (tR) are finished, when subsequent thereto the second channel (14) is released for setting, the setting duration (tE2) and a prescribed stimulating-current duration (tR) are finished, etc. and when, in the channel (15) last set, the prescribed pause duration (tP) has expired following the setting duration (tE3) and the prescribed stimulating-current duration (tR). <IMAGE>
