PURPOSE:To branch effectively an optical energy and to adjust the quantity of branched light by sealing an optical oil between slopes of the second and the third photoconductor rods of an optical branching device consisting of four photoconductor rods. CONSTITUTION:In the optical branching device consisting of the first - the fourth photoconductor rods 1-4, the optical oil is sealed in the gap between a slope 2a of the second photoconductor rod 2 and a slope 3a of the third photoconductor rod 3 through a groove 3b. A light L propagated in the direction of an arrow A goes in the direction of an arrow B in the part where the optical oil is not charged, but the light L goes in the direction of an arrow C in the part where the optical oil is charged. The quantity of light going in the direction of the arrow B is adjusted by the level of the optical oil. Thus, the optical energy is branched effectively, and the quantity of branched light is adjusted. |
