Device for typewriters and terminals, with a keyboard, wherein each key is provided with at least two optionally preselectable signs and wherein to each key there is associated an energizable display element (14) close to the corresponding key or integrated therein. To energize the display element (14) in the form of liquid cristal (LCD) of a key there is provided an independent control wherein display element (14) is provided with a control element in the form of a driver. The driver (22) is provided only once with the data to represent the symbol to be displayed in the display element (14) and goes on working in self-contained conditions. |
