PURPOSE:The titled glass keeping coolness in a car and glare-preventing effect, obtained by providing the surface of transparent base plate with optical interference films obtained by laminating optical thin films blended with a color absorbing material in such a way that the amount of it is extremely reduced from the end toward the center of the films. CONSTITUTION:The surface of the transparent base material 1 such as glass, resin, etc. is provided with the optical interference films 2 obtained by laminating the substance (e.g., TiO2) 2a having high refractive index and the substance (e.g., SiO2) 2b having low refractive index alternately. At least one optical film consitituting the interference films 2 is equipped with the part C from the end of the base plate 1 to the fixed distance C, containing 1-50wt% color absorbing material (e.g., TiC), the part A containing no color absorbing material, and the obscure part B wherein the amount of the color absorbing material is extremely reduced from the part C toward the part A.
