PURPOSE:To provide a conveying apparatus suitable for spacing transported articles having a low degree of tolerance to tensile force in the feed direction by spacing transported articles of a fixed length which are transported with little space before and behind the article, and feeding same to the next process. CONSTITUTION:In succession of a transport conveyer 1, a thick-and-thin convey er 5, and a conveyer 10 in which speed is changed at the start end are disposed side by side. The length of an endless belt of the conveyer 5 is set equal to the fixed length L of transported articles A, A-1, and the effective length of the thick portion 5a of the conveyer 5 is set half the fixed length or a little shorter than that. A middle track of the conveyer 10 is disposed between the higher track of the thick portion 5a and the lower track of the thin portion 5b. Plural sets of speed change conveyers 12, 13 which can be switched to fixed speed and high speed are disposed between the fixed speed running conveyer 1 and a high speed running carry-out conveyer 5 running a little faster than the conveyer 1. Transport paths of the speed change conveyers 12, 13 are set in such a manner as to correspond the speed ratio of high speed to fixed speed so that every transfer between the respective conveyers is performed at the same speed. |
