The invention relates to a turbine machine whose pressure/mass flow or pressure/volume flow characteristic curve is no longer defined, as hitherto, by the shape of the turbine machine and the rotational speed of the rotor. However, instead, a regulating device associated with the turbine machine, for example a vortex apparatus (7), a rotor blade adjusting device or a throttle is continuously adjusted by a control unit (9), on the basis of the signals of a detector (12) for the pressure or the mass flow or volume flow and of a position transmitter (11) indicating the instantaneous position of the regulating device, in such a way that the turbine machine has a pressure/mass flow or pressure/volume flow characteristic curve which is entered into the control unit (9) and which is selected at will. <IMAGE> |
