A pivot bearing for windows or the like comprises a bearing housing 1 adapted to be attached to the window frame or sash and a bearing portion rotatable under friction in the housing, the bearing portion having a non- circular spigot 22 enclosed in a socket comprising two separable parts 23, 26 adapted to clamp the spigot and to be attached to the sash or the frame. The bearing portion comprises two members 10, 11 non-rotatably connected by a spigot and socket connection 14, 15 and pressed against complementary. conical surfaces 8, 9 in the housing 1 by a clamping screw 17 adjustable through a hole 34 provided in an end gable 33 of the socket part 23. A lubricantimpregnated felt ring is preferably located between the members 10, 11. |
