PURPOSE:To obtain a pulse trio detecting circuit immune to noise by detecting a pulse trio when a 4-bit NRZ code is 0111 and a code against a 4-bit bipolar code rule is 0100. CONSTITUTION:A bipolar signal is converted into the NRZ code by a B/U converting circuit 1, inputted to a shift register 4' and also the code against the bipolar rule is detected by a bipolar rule supervising circuit 2 and inputted to a shift register 5. When a 4-bit NRZ unipolar code of 0111 is inputted to the register 4' and a code 0100 against the 4-bit bipolar rule is inputted to the register 5 at the same time, the 1st, 2nd and 4th inverted outputs are extracted from the input side from the register 4' and the 1st, 2nd inverted outputs and the 3rd output are extracted from the input side by AND circuits 6, 7 respectively and they are inputted to an AND circuit 8 so as to detect the pulse trio.
