PURPOSE:To quickly locate a faulty location of a transmission system by transmitting cyclicly a data no an information processing unit while the data is transmitted from said information processing unit. CONSTITUTION:If a fault takes place in a driver or the like in information processing units U1, U2 and transmission/reception between the units U1, U2 is disabled, since the data outputted from an output port D1 is led to drivers B1- BN through a switch circuit S1, the data is inputted to receivers R1'-RN' through data buses Z1-ZN. Since the data input is inhibited to an input port I2 by a command of a processor P2, the data inputted to the receivers R1'-RN' is not inputted to the input port I2 and since a changeover circuit S2 is thrown to the position of drivers B1'-BN', the data is led to the driers B1'-BN. The data received by the receivers R1'-RN' through data buses Z1'-ZN from the drivers B1'-BN' is inputted to an input port I1. It is discriminated as generation of fault if no data is inputted to the input port I1 from an output port D1.
