PURPOSE:To prevent damage and degradation to be inflicted on a photosensitive face and to obtain a high quality picture by providing a means which cleans the rear face of a sheet-shaped photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:Timing information recorded on the rear face of a photosensitive sheet 47 whose both ends are wound around takeup drums 43 and 54. The rear end of a carried-in form is detected by a sensor 35 to wind the photosensitive sheet 47 in the side of the drum 43, and simultaneously, the rear face of the sheet 47 is cleaned by a cleaner 55. Control is simplified because control is performed in accordance with detection of timing information on the rear face of the photosensitive sheet 47. Thus, the rear face of the photosensitive sheet 47 is cleaned to prevent damage and degradation of the photosensitive body, and a high quality of pictures is attained.
