A securing means for beneath-roof windows, in particular for roof windows of dwellings, is proposed which comprises a waterproof skin with a rectangular opening (2). The rectangular opening (2) encloses the associated roof window in a sealed manner. This securing means (1) can be used both for roof windows which are to be newly installed and for roof windows which have already been installed, without it being necessary to remove the latter beforehand. The securing means (1) ensures that the roof windows which have been introduced are connected in a waterproof manner to the surrounding roof covering. <IMAGE>
