A child's car safety seat (1) has a tubular frame (2) and a seat shell (3) fastened thereon. The tubular frame (2) comprises a frame lower part (4), running approximately parallel to the seat area of the motor vehicle, and a frame upper part (5), which bears with rear struts (6) against the rear padding of the vehicle seat and supports the seat shell (3) arranged at a distance from the frame lower part (4). Just two retaining straps (7, 8) are arranged in the manner of a two-point strap one on either side of the seat for fastening on the seat padding. On the underside (13) of the frame lower part (4) there is provided a supporting plate (14), which takes up at least the depth and breadth of the frame lower part (4). <IMAGE>
