Roller shutter run-in funnel

Placed as endpiece on the upper end of a lateral guide rail (5) of a roller shutter is a roller shutter run-in funnel (6). Mounted rotatably on a shaft (9) in the rear funnel part (7) is a guide roller (8) which projects beyond the rear funnel part (7) both upwards and towards a roller shutter armour (2). It is thus achieved that the individual slats (4) of the roller shutter armour (2) are subjected only to extremely low mechanical stresses both during opening and during closing of the roller shutter, as unrolling can take place in the region of the guide roller (8) in contrast to a sliding stress in such run-in funnels as have no guide roller. The noise produced is considerably reduced by this measure, as is the mechanical wear of the slats (4) as a result of friction. <IMAGE>
