PURPOSE:To remove enough a paper powder, and to prevent rogin, talc, etc. of the paper powder from adhering to an image carrying body, by placing a scraper by a small gap against an elastic magnetic roller which contacts and rotates in the same direction as the image carrying body. CONSTITUTION:A cleaning deive 6 is constituted of a cleaning blade 61, an elastic roller 62 of silicone rubber, etc., a cast-away developer carrying-out screw 64 and a scattering preventive sheet 65. A scraper 63 is placed by a gap d3<=100mum against the roller 62. By the scraper 63, a thin and uniform coating layer of a developer having no paper powder is formed on the roller 62, and made to contact by pressing and slide-rubbed against the surface of a carrying body 1 through a developer. The developer adheres uniformly and reaches the blade 61, therefore, no flaw is generated on the surface by the edge of the blade 61. The roller 62 is rotated in the same direction as a photosensitive body 1. |
