PURPOSE:To enable the time for replacing a scraping chip or mechanism including the chip to be detected and informed correctly, by providing a detecting unit for detecting the scraping function of a belt cleaner and an informing unit for informing that the scraping function thereof has reached its allowable minimum limit. CONSTITUTION:A belt cleaner apparatus has a scraping mechanism 1 which is applied to the lower face of a conveyor belt B running in the direction of R and scrapes away the residual material stuck to said lower face. This scraping mechanism 1 includes a frame 2 secured to a strut 4 by means of holding metal fittings 5, 5. This frame 2 is provided, through an elastic damper 9, with a scraping chip holding piece 8 having a scraping chip 7 fixed to the end thereof. A linear member consisting of a conductive material is provided in parallel with the chip 7 to be spaced by a predetermined distance from the upper edge of the chip 7, whereby a sensor S1 is constituted. When the scraping chip 7 is worn out to a predetermined degree and the sensor S1 is cut off, it is informed by a display lamp L which is put off on such an occasion. |
