PURPOSE:To prevent a decrease of an irradiating light quantity at the time of a flash fixation, and also to shorten a maintenance time by constituting so that a lower face glass plate of a flash fixing device can be cleaned by a cleaning member. CONSTITUTION:In case a toner, etc. scattered from on a recording paper by a flash of a flash lamp 4 adhere to the lower face of a transparent plate, and interfere with the subsequent fixation, it is placed so as to be movable in the direction as indicated with an arrow manually or by using a suitable moving means, and on the other hand, the plate 6 is moved in the direction as indicated with an arrow to the non-contaminated part from the contaminated part. By this movement, the toner, etc. which have adheres to the lower face of the plate 6 are scraped down by a cleaning member 7 and its adhering part is cleaned. The part which is not contaminated by the toner, etc. is placed on the lower part of the lamp 4, therefore, the subsequent fixation can be executed immediately, and also the scraped toner is collected in a receiving plate 8, therefore, it is removed periodically. |
