The refractory concrete composition is comprised of 5-20% and preferably approximately 10% of a binder consisting of silica having a grain size lower than 5 mu m and preferably comprised between 1 and 2 mu m and of an aluminous compound having a high alumina content with a grain size lower than 20 mu m and preferably comprised between 0 and 20 mu m in respective proportions from 3 to 7 approximately, which proportions are appropriate to obtain a mullitization at high temperature during the temperature rise. Application to the making of protection linings or of moulded objects particularly intended to plants for the continuous cold injection casting of steel.
