PURPOSE:To permit simple installation of a chain onto a tire by allowing a felame screw element to position-shift with respect to a male screw element by turning the head part of the male screw element on the upper surface of a holding lever. CONSTITUTION:When a chain installation fitting is used, the nipping state of a nipping body 2 is adjusted previously for a tire to be applied. The amount of projection of a projection member 8 is made min. by turning a male screw element 11, and after the nipping body 2 is inserted into the tire gap 6, with a holding lever 1 in parallel state, the holding lever 1 is taken by hand and turned on the tire and set onto the tire, crossing at right angles to the tread surface, and the male screw element 11 is turned to allow the projection member 8 to gradually project and to be nipped under a proper pressre where the free movement of the projection member 8 between the inner and outer tire surfaces is not permitted. The edge of a chain in engaged with the engagement parts 5 formed at the both edges of the holding lever 1, and then the chain is wound-up by advancing or retreating a car. |
