PURPOSE:To obain a scavenging roller of a high dust collection efficiency, to reduce a load of a filter pack, and to realze a long life by always charging elecrostatically stably a toner a passin through a flow path, to a single polarity. CONSTITUTION:A toner is removed from a photosensitive body 2 with a fur brush 1, separated from the fur brush 1 by a flicker bar 3, passes through a flow path 4, and reaches the inside of an electrostatic field 6 generated by a high voltage impressed to a scavenging roller 9. The toner removed by a blade 7 is discharged to the outside of a unit by an auger 8. Air ionized to the opposite polarity to the roller 5 is blown into the flow path 4 from the outside of the flow path. Accordingly, since the polarity of the removed toner is equal, the dust collection efficiency of the roller can be attained by 99% or more, a load of a filter pack can be reduced, and a life and an interval of maintenance can be extended. An ion generating device 12 is provided in front of a fan 13 of the outside of the flow path 4.
