PURPOSE:To control the brake liquid pressure to the optimum during the high- speed travel with large air resistance by compensating the decrease/increase of the wheel acceleration/deceleration depending on the car air resistance when determining a control mode based on the wheel acceleration/deceleration. CONSTITUTION:During the high-speed travel, a wheel speed Vw is inputted as is to a deceleration preset circuit 15 via a pseudo car speed generation circuit 13. This circuit 15 compensates the decrease/increase of the wheel acceleration/deceleration based on the air resistance to generate a preset deceleration and outputs it to a comparator 16. When the wheel acceleration/deceleration alphaw reaches this compensated preset deceleration or more, the comparator 16 outputs an H signal, operates an EV valve 2, and switches to the hold of the brake liquid pressure. Accordingly, during the high-speed travel, a change of the wheel acceleration/deceleration due to the air resistance is compensated, thus the brake liquid pressure is controlled more correctly.
