PURPOSE:To enable continuous casting by using two units of tundishes and pouring a molten metal without interruption into a mold even in the stage of exchanging the tundish. CONSTITUTION:The mounting position of tundish nozzles 6, 9 are deviated from the center so that two nozzles 6, 9 can be inserted into a mold 11. The traveling direction of the tundishes 5, 8 are made separate so that the two tundishes 5, 8 can be exchanged. The position of a ladle 1 is also made movable as desired. The next filled tundish 8 is placed in the casting port before the tundish 5 is emptied. The pouring of the molten metal into a mold 11 is thus accomplished without interruption, by which continuous casting is accomplished.
