PURPOSE:To provide the titled recording body useful for a large capacity image type disc or the like free from bending and distortion during the preservation which is excellent in the molding property and humidity resistance without double refraction by employing a highly acetalized polyvinyl acetal with the degree of acetalization exceeding a specified value as base material. CONSTITUTION:The desired recording body is made of a resin composition containing polyvinyl acetal with the degree of acetalization exceeding 65mol%, preferably 70mol%. The polyvinyl acetal resin is produced as follows: for example, alkali is added to act on PVA to be saponified preferably over 95mol% in the saponification value. Then, the product is made to react with isobutyl aldehyde or the like under an acid catalyst to acetalize. |
