PURPOSE:To improve both safety and reliability by displaying the position of upper and lower limit values within a picture element as well as a bar chart on a color display device. CONSTITUTION:Each process amount given from a plant process 1 is supplied to an input part 2 and compared with the limit value data 4 proper to each process amount of the process 1 at an alarm detecting part 3. As a result, the discrimination between the normal value or the alarm value is displayed at a display part 5. The part 5 fetches the process amount supplied to the part 2 and converts it into the bar chart data and also obtains an exclusive OR between the data 4 and the bar chart data to deliver it to a CRT display device 6 for display. According to this comparison result, the different color code data are used for display of a bar chart 100, e.g., the normal value in green and the alarm value in red. In a display mode the chart 100 as well as the upper and lower limit value markers 102 and 103 are displayed within a picture element 104. |
