PURPOSE:To secure such a submerged type mooring buoy as receiving less effect from circumferential wave force and excellent in stability, by attaching a weight to the bottom of a box floater, and engaging it with a sinker on a seabed part, while installing four columns on the top of the floater projectingly above the surface of the water. CONSTITUTION:A weight 5 is attached to the bottom of a box floater 3 provided with a measuring instrument 1 and a power supply 2 or the like being built in, and engaged with a sinker 14 on a seabed part via a mooring chain 12. On the top of the floater, four cylindrical columns 6 in sectional oval form are projectingly installed so as to cause each of their upper ends to be situated above the surface of the water. A hatch 8, a ventilating duct 9, an antenna 10 or the like are all attached to the top of each column 6. With this constitution, such a submerged type mooring buoy as receiving less effect from circumferential wave force and excellent in stability is securable.
