PURPOSE:To attain the effective use of programs by erasing a circular arc shift instruction sentence after obtaining the coincidence between the circular arc shift instruction sentence as well as two of three points to receive teaching and the teaching data on another point. CONSTITUTION:The teaching is given to a welding line (solid line) 1 between teaching points P100-P109. For instance, a circular arc (broken line) passing teaching points P106-P108 functions as a shift instruction sentence which shifts a welding torch 2. In case the welding point shown by a solid line is shifted with no program change, a write button is pushed with the torch 2 kept at a teaching point P106 to write the teaching data on a teaching point P107. In the same way, the data on a teaching point P108 is written. Therefore the coincidence is obtained among three teaching points P106-108. Then the radius calculated when a program is executed is set at zero. Thus a circular arc shift instruction sentence is substantially erased out of the program.
