PURPOSE:To enable accurately arranged winding by providing a restraining device, which restrains the winding position of a wire body, in such a way that it moves in the axial direction of a bobbin by means of a wire body being wound, and making a traverse mechanism stop when an indicator installed on said restraining device is detected by a sensing device. CONSTITUTION:A winding device arrangedly winds up a wire body (a), which is introduced and guided through a guide rotor, onto the outer surface of a winding bobbin, which is rotated by a motor, through a guide roller 3 in a traverse mechanism 4. In this device, the guide roller 3 is supported by a guide device 7, which moves in the axial direction of the bobbin 1 along the cam groove of a traverse cam rotated by a motor, through a supporting arm 8. A restraining device 16, having restraining pieces 15, is mounted on a guide shaft 10 rotatably supported by a fixed body frame above the bobbin 1. And, when an indicator 19 installed on the restraining device 16 is detected by a sensing device 20 provided on the supporting arm 8, the motor is stopped, to stop the movement of the traverse mechanism 4.
