PURPOSE:To transfer a toner image efficiency on a printing base plate by wetting the surface of the printing base plate with a transfer liquid, and controlling an amt. of liquid used for wetting, and an amt. of liquid contained between a photosensitive body bearing a toner image and said plate to which the image is transferred at the time of both faces brought into intimate contact. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic latent image is formed on an electrophotographic sensitive body provided with a photoconductive layer, developed with a liquid developer to form a toner image, this toner image face is brought into intimate contact with a printing base plate wetted with a transfer liquid in advance, and the toner image is transferred on said plate by applying voltage. At that time, an amt. of said transfer liquid first used for wetting the plate, and an amt. of liquid contained between both of the photosensitive body and the plate at the time of the contact are controlled to 5-90g/m<2>. |
