PURPOSE:To attain high pattern generating speed by controlling patterns to be generated at the same time so as not to be stored in a first-in first-out memory (FIFO) for a required number or over in transferring data from a buffer memory to the FIFO. CONSTITUTION:A pattern P8 is a pattern whose operation/processing is finished latest patterns P1-P11 stored in the FIFO and the patterns completed for operation and processing earlier are in the order of P11, P9, P6 and P10. Thus, the value of the end point Y4 of the patterns P8, P11, P9, P6 is stored in a Y coordinate memory. When a pattern data P12 is transferred to a temporary memory in this state, an apex coordinate Y1(P12) is compared with a head data Y4(P6) of the Y coordinate memory at a comparator, and when the relation of Y1(P12)> Y4(P6) is established, it shows that the overlap of the patterns is ''5'' and when Y1(P12)<=Y4(P6) exists conversely, it shows that the number of overlap is <=4. |
