PURPOSE:To reduce the injuries given to the magnetic side of a magnetic recording medium by coating a reinforcement plate edge part of a magnetic head with a polymer material. CONSTITUTION:Coating layers 6 and 7 made of a polymer material are provided to the side faces of reinforcement plates 2 and 3 which function to reduce infuries on the magnetic side of a magnetic recording medium. In this case, the polymer material uses acrylic resin, etc. In such a constitution, the injuries of the magnetic recording medium can be minimized for a magnetic head in spite of a fact that a reinforcement plate having high wear resistance is used to a core member. |
