PURPOSE:To enhance a color forming property and the stability of a color image, by preparing a recording material by containing a fluoran derivative having an arylamino group at the 2-position of its furan ring, an amyl group at the 3-position thereof and an amine residue at the 6-position thereof. CONSTITUTION:A fluorance derivative having an arylamino group at the 2-position of its furan ring, an amyl group at the 3-position thereof and an amine residue at the 6-position thereof, a phenolic substance and a thermoplastic substance are added to a solution prepared by dissolving or dispersing a binder in a solvent or a dispersing medium to prepare a coating solution. This solution is applied to a support such as paper, a plastic sheet or resin coated paper and dried to obtain a recording material. If necessary, a paraffin wax emulsion, a latex type binder, a sensitivity enhancer, metal soap, an oxidation inhibitor, hindered phenol or an ultraviolet absorber can be added to the aforementioned coating solution. |
