PURPOSE:To attain the stable and high-speed control of observing position by using the position information detected through a check for display size to control the observing position for checks of a focal point and a luminance fault. CONSTITUTION:For a display size check, the position of a square frame pattern 11 for check of an observation coordinate system together detected together with the position of an outer frame 12 of a CRT. This detection value is used for decision. Based on the position information (coordinate value) obtained from said display size check, the positions (coordinate value) are calculated for check patterns of a focal point and a luminance fault respectively in an observation mode. In these checks of the focal point and luminance fault, the observing positions are decided and enlarged so that the center of the pattern is coincident with the calculated coordinate value. In such a way, the observing positon can be controlled stably and at a high speed in case a CRT screen is locally enlarged. |
