PURPOSE:To improve the efficiency of data transfer without adding any extra interface line by selecting a device to be controlled which drives the receiving circuit of a controller automatically through the controller and device to be controlled. CONSTITUTION:The controller 1 sends out a control order A for specifying, for example, a device 3 to be controlled. The order A is distributed to all devices 2-4 to be controlled through a branching coupler 5. The devices 2-4 decide whether the order A is addressed to themselves or not by address matching circuits 14-16. In this case, the device 2 stops the transmission of a driving signal of a receiving circuit 7 speedily at this point of time. The device 3 fetches the contents of the order A because it is addressed to itself, and starts the transmission of the driving signal of the circuit 7 as a substitute for the circuit 2. A device A is not controlled at all even when receiving the order A. The device 3 advances internal processing and sends out answer data B instead of the driving signal of the circuit 7 when obtaining answer data to keep on sending the driving signal of the circuit 7 even after sending out the data B.
