PURPOSE:The titled agent for suppressing reduction is PGs caused by administration of drug such as antagonist of histamine H2 acceptor, anti-inflammatory analgesic, etc., by intake of a stimulus, etc., preventing occurrence of peptic ulcer, containing aldioxa as an active ingredient. CONSTITUTION:An agent for suppressing prostaglandins comprising aldioxa (chemical name aluminum dihydroxyallantoinate) as an active ingredient. Aldioxa is found to suppress reduction in PGs caused by administration of drug such as antagonist of histamine H2 acceptor (e.g., cimetidine, ranitidine, etc.), anti-inflammatory agnalgesic (e.g., indomethacin, mefenamic acid, etc.), by intake of drink (e.g., spice, alcohol, etc.), stress, etc., and to have improved protecting action on cell of digestive tube. Especially it is usable for remedying ulcer caused by the drugs, etc. and preventing its recrudescence and recurrence.
