PURPOSE:To generate a pulse train having a desired pulse frequency by providing the maximum pulse frequency setting means and the minimum pulse frequency setting means, thereby setting the frequency dividing ratio on the basis of a numeric value set when a pulse generator is used. CONSTITUTION:A subtractor 4 for calculating the difference between the numeric value set to the maximum pulse frequency setting means 5 and the numeric value set to the minimum pulse frequency setting means 6, and a data converter 3 which inputs the output of the subtractor 4 to convert it are provided. Then, a frequency divider 2 for dividing the frequency of the output of the converter 3, a frequency divider 7 which is a frequency dividing circuit and has means for setting the frequency dividing ratio, and a reference pulse oscillator 1 are provided to generate a pulse train having the desired pulse frequency. |
