PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which detects surely and quickly foreign matter, and can prevent the generation of defective products and the failure of dies, etc. by the constitution wherein the sliding of a piston of a hydraulic cylinder for detecting pressure mounted to a bolster is detected with sensors. CONSTITUTION:A hydraulic cylinder 10 for detecting pressure is fixed on at least one side of a bolster 2, and the piston 11 thereof is connected to the upward extending rod 8 of a hydraulic cylinder 7 which moves the bolster 2 upward and downward at a high speed, in a press machine mounted with the bolster 2 and a lower die 3 in the upper part of a press body 1 and provided with an upper table 4 and an upper die 5. The pressure in the pressure chamber 12 in the cylinder 10 is kept higher than the working pressure of the cylinder 7. If foreign material remains in the dies and the pressure in the cylinder 7 rises to exceed the pressure in the chamber 12, the piston 11 slides in the cylinder 10, and the sliding movement thereof is detected by the sensors 13, 14 mounted to the rod 8 and the cylinder 10, which sensors stop immediately the operation of the cylinder 7 or a main cylinder 6 for blanking. |
