PURPOSE:To attain error detection and correction at the decoding side by forming consecutive data as blocks in a form of matrix so as to apply triple coding, taking a string in generating direction of the 3rd coding as frames, adding a synchronizing signal respectively and transmitting the result sequentially and serially. CONSTITUTION:An analog signal at an input terminal 1 is digitized at a sample- and-hold circuit and an A/D converter circuit 3 via a low-pass filter 2 at the recording side and the result is given to a buffer memory circuit 4. After data of the memory circuit 4 is coded by a coder 5, the result is given to a modulation circuit 6. The modulation output is given to an electromagnetic converting system and tape running system 7. A reproducing signal is demodulated by a demodulation circuit 8 and stored sequentially in a buffer memory 9. A decoder 10 is provided in relation to the memory 9 and the data is decoded and error correction is attained. The corrected data is converted into the original analog signal by a D/A converting circuit 11.
