PURPOSE:To enhance performance of an underwater pump by installing the cable for a motor of underwater pump in such a way as penetrating the hollow provided in a cup-shaped shaft sealing chamber, thereby rationalize the construction of the part for sealing shaft and drawing out the cable, and facilitating its manufacture. CONSTITUTION:A cup-shaped shaft sealing chamber 2 is provided at the upper part of motor 1, and a hollow 9 is formed at the part where the lead 6 and cable 5 in connection to the winding 4 is penetrating, and further a seal part 10 is formed outside said penetrating part. To fix the shaft sealing chamber 2 and motor 1, a mechanical seal 7 is accommodated, the lead 6 and cable 5 are connected through the use of a plug 13, and then the shaft sealing chamber 2 is fixed in such a fashion that the cup lies inverted up and down. The said hollow 9 is formed in parallel with a shaft 3 so as to favor manufacture and processing of the shaft sealing chamber 2, wherein sufficient capacity and axial length are secured, and further waterproof treatment of the cable 5 can be made easily and satisfactorily to ensure an enhanced performence of underwater pump.
