PURPOSE:To make both subscan feeding systems feed continuously at constant speed and operate by changing the subscan feeding speed of reading and the subscan feeding speed of recording in accordance with the magnification ratio or the reduction ratio which is specified. CONSTITUTION:An original 10 desired to be copied is set in a reading part 1, the key of an operational panel 23 is pressed to specifies a degree of the magnification ratio and the reduction ratio. Pulse generators 31 and 34 receive copy signal, and dividing operation starts. A pulse motor 13 rotates continuously at constant speed which corresponds to the (n)-divided reference clock frequency (f), the subscan feeding by a feeding roller 14 is executed. A pulse motor 42 rotates continuously by the frequency (f') which corresponds to the magnification or the reduction, and executes the subscan feeding of a recording paper 40 by a feeding roller 43.
