PURPOSE:To greatly increase the mechanical strength of the electrode by making it by forming a conductive macromolecular material over a conductive base plate through electrolytic polymerization. CONSTITUTION:A grid-like conductive base plate 10 is immersed in a nonaqueous organic electrolyte containing thiophene so as to coat the base plate 10 with a conductive macromolecular material 12 composed of P type polythienylene synthesized through electrolysis, thereby making a positive electrode 14a. After the dopant contained in the conductive macromolecular material 12 of the positive electrode 14a is undoped, doping is performed by using Li as a donor to convert the material 12 into N type polythienylene, thereby making a negative electrode 14b. After that, the electrodes 14a and 14b are placed facing each other with a separator 16 interposed, thereby constituting a battery containing electrodes prepared from the conductive macromolecular material 12. As a result, it is possible to facilitate the handling of the battery by greatly increasing the strength of the electrode. |
