PURPOSE:To obtain a seamless composite picture from plural linear thermal negative poles by dividing a sealed electrode to be arranged on the side of a phosphor screen of a vertical deflection plate into a plural in the horizontal direction while impressing the voltage correcting the positional linearity of an electron beam on the respective electrodes. CONSTITUTION:A rear electrode 20 is set up in the rear of a linear thermal negative pole 21 while providing a control electrode 22, where an opening 23 is formed in the opposed position having the electrode 22 between. Next, a beam acceleration electrode 24, where the opening part 25 is set up in the opposed position to the negative pole 21 equally to the electrode 22. The zonal electron beam, which passes through the through holes 23 and 25 while being uniform in the horizontal direction, is deflected in the vertical direction by a deflection plate 26 while passing through the sealed electrodes 28-30 for becoming the electron beam divided in the horizontal direction at a prescribed pitch. The voltage to be impressed on the electrodes 28-30 is controlled while the vertical sensitivity is regulated by the respective blocks to the vertically deflected electron beam for correcting the positional linearily of the beam.
