摘要 PURPOSE:To improve power efficiency and fuel consumption by frequency- analyzing the vibration signal of a vibration sensor installed in the vicinity of the rotary shaft of a gas turbine engine and detecting the sharp increase of the vibration having a specific frequency as surging, thus permitting the correct detection for surging. CONSTITUTION:A vibration sensor 42 is installed in the vicinity of the bearing 41 of the rotary shaft 40 of a compressor of a gas turbine engine, and the output signal is input into the detector 46 in a detection circuit 45 through an amplifier 43 and a filter 44, and the vibration signal is detected in the detector 46. The average value or the envelope of the detected signal is generated in an averaging circuit 47, and the output of the averaging circuit 47 and the output of the filter 44 are compared in a comparator 48, and the sharp increase of the vibration amplitude, namely the surging of the engine is detected. When surging is detected, an indicator 50 is operated through a monomultivibrator 49, or the engine revolution speed is reduced, or the engine is brought into stop.
