PURPOSE:To remove foam produced in float chamber thus to assure good operationability by providing a vent in float chamber independently from an air-vent while flowing air through float chamber into air-vent and said vent by means of engine suction negative pressure under heavy load. CONSTITUTION:Under operation of engine, a valve body 9 is positioned in valve seat 7 to choke the discharge path 6 while an air-vent 4 will communicate the float chamber 1 with the inlet section of carburetor in suction path 12. Upon stoppage of engine, the valve body 9 is positioned in the valve seat 5 to choke the air-vent 4 thus to communicate the float chamber 1 through the discharge path 6 with the adsorbing chamber 8. The narrowest section of Venturi 14 in secondary carburetor 13 is communicated throughd a vent 16 having a restrictor 15 with the upper portion of float chamber 1. Upon malfunction of secondary carburetor 13, for example, air is passed through vent 16, float chamber 1 and air-vent 4 in this order through the function of negative pressure in float chamber 1, to remove foam produced in float chamber 1 through passing air. |
