PURPOSE:To replace an image carrier easily by arranging an upper plate having an opening to apply information to the image carrier formed in a process unit. CONSTITUTION:A cover 36 consisting of an opaque material is placed on a plate-like member 19 so as to be slid and guide pins 19a8, 19b8 planted on the plate-like member 19 are loosely inserted into long holes 361, 362 of the cover 36. The cover 36 can be slid so that an opening C is opened/closed. Springs 37, 38 are laid between the cover 36 and spring hooks 19a9, 19b9 formed on the plate-like member 19 and excite the cover 36 in the closing direction of the opening C. In the state shown by the alternate long and two short dashes line 36, the cover 36 closes the opening opened by the plate-like member 19 to prevent the irradiation of external light to a photosensitive body. When the process unit U is completely inserted into the copying machine body, an inclined part 361 of the cover 36 is laid on an inclined part of a guide member fixed on the copying machine body side and the whole cover 36 is rotated around its axis, so that the opening C is kept at the opened state. |
