Inflated games ball comprises an elastomeric gas-permeable wall delimiting a cavity contg. an inflation system which is compressible at a pressure above atmospheric pressure. This system comprises sufficient ari to provide partial pressure falling in an interval expending to atmospheric pressure non-inclusively. A low-permeability halogenated gas provides additional partial pressure beyond atmospheric pressure up to the total pressure desired in the cavity. An inflation gas maintains the cavity inflated in a given pressure interval for longer than if the inflation gas was pure air. The inflation medium does not escape through tehelastomeric wall as easily as air, and is suiable for use with a tennis ball.
|
