PURPOSE:To call an individual stays anywhere in a district by giving a number to each individual by means of an ID card without giving a number to a terminal device such as a telephone set, and dialing the number. CONSTITUTION:A caller loads its ID card to a nearby telephone set, in general the own telephone set. Then when a handset is hooked off, a controller 1-13 detects it, drives an ID card reader 1-4 via an input/output interface 1-11 and reads the ID number of the caller stored on magnetic stripes. A central controller 8 converts a called number into an ID number of a called party by referencing the cross reference list between the telephone numbers stored in the storage device 9 and the ID number. When a receiver 14 receives a radio wave, whether or not the called ID number is the own ID number, and when they are coincident, the caller name transmitted succeedingly is received, the name is converted into a character pattern, a piezoelectric element is driven and an audible signal is generated.
