PURPOSE:To realize a communication equipment corresponding to plural communication speeds by providing a counter circuit and a timing signal generating circuit, counting transmitted signals of specific pattern, generating a timing signal and operating the device with a communication speed in matching with a sender. CONSTITUTION:A counter circuit 3 is connected to a reception data line RXD, and connected to a timing signal generating circuit 4 via a signal line l6 and counts a consecutive time (t) of signal [0] of specific pattern on the received data line RXD. The count is conducted by counting the pulse number of the signal line l6 generated during that time. The result of count is fed to the timing signal generating circuit 4 via signal lines l2-l5 and the timing signal generating circuit 4 selects a timing signal outputted to a signal line l7 depending on the value of signal lines l2-l5. |
